Is Hinduism a soft target?
Disclaimer: I am a Hindu, who like Sikhs, admire Christians, adore Jains , love Budhhists and don’t hate Muslims.
In this modern world when we look down the lane we always find everyone cursing Hinduism solely. Being a member of Generation Y, I never defended it too. Well, they succeeded in winning our brains.
Who “They”?
May be , by the end of this article you’ll get your answer.
For all the religion stigmas and surge in religion based riots , Politics and Politicians are found responsible. This is a disinterested statement. Politics is not the only key aspect for this rather Bollywood is. Since time immemorial , the dark side of Hinduism is shown in Bollywood.
In the movie Deewar, Amit ji was shown as an atheist , pardon me , a Hindu atheist who practiced Blasphemy, pardon me again, who practiced Blasphemy against Hindu Deity.
Why hadn’t he represented as a Muslim or a Christian insulting his respective? There is a need to open up your conscious mind now, because the subconscious is already washed away.
Think it again, Why?
When we move back to 80’s , this was the time when Hazi Mastan- the Indian Film Maker , started financing Bollywood. He was later followed by Dawood Ibrahim and Abu Salim in 90’s, and from there a new Bollywood was pictured. Their lone propaganda was to glorify Islam in movies by vilifying Hinduism. Indian film director Subhash Ghai and Indian producer Rakesh Roshan got incessant death threats for not selling their movies to those humans.
Kudos to both of them and their alike for taking such step against them. Have you got your answer for the question I asked above- Why hadn’t he represented as a Muslim or a Christian insulting their respective?
Not only just Deewar, but also Once Upon a time in Mumbai, PK, OMG, Singham, Singham Return, etc. were the scapegoats , for defaming Hinduism. A steady question arises here, why didn’t they target holy Christian priest (padri), an Islam Molvi but a pujari everytime.
Oh! they are booked for Amar-Akbar-Anthony, Kabhi haan kabhi naa, Sholay, and Vastav. If the makers don’t show them in good characters, it will take an entire lifetime to get it censored . Now and then, everyone in the industry is well aware of the incident happened with the movie “Sins”[In this film, a padri was shown in a bad character who had have extra marital affairs. It is not yet released in India but banned for eternity. Moreover, it is based on a true incident that happened in Kerala, years ago]
The facts say, India is 5 times populous than Pakistan but the cases of honour killing in Pakistan are double that of India. But still Sarfaraz parents were liberal and Jaggu’s parents were fickle minded and orthodox. I wonder what would have done to Aamir Khan and Rajkumar Hirani if they had targeted Islam, Christianism, Jainism or Buddhism in PK. Why do they never laugh at other religions, make jokes at other religions but only Hinduism?
They used “जो डरता है वो मदिर जाता है” . This is the time, we need to thank our dearest God that they didn’t use “ जो Bomb बनाता है वो मस्जिद जाता है ”. They had a narrow escape with death. -Sigh-
A padri was mercilessly beaten up by a Hindu Politician Malti Tai in the movie David. This movie has higher ratings than “Hotel Taj”. I should keep quiet and not talk much about it . No, nothing, Just telling you.
In Mulk, Haider, Mission Kashmir, and many more , Muslims are always victimized. Their critical situation is shown movie after movie, news after news, year after year. My question to my secularist friends is “Why don’t you ever talk about the situation of Kashmiri Pandits” . What did it take to release “Shikara”? It failed to break Haider’s records. Pity on Us. I remember Bulbul and Patal Lok too.
“The winch code” got banned in India. Why? Oh! The Christian Vote Bank.
I urge you to go and watch Mulk, let’s discuss whether it is a social stigma or a religion stigma.
Is Hinduism a punching bag? Anyone who comes , hits it to recede his frustration. Why? Is Bollywood gets some funding and financing?

In our incredible India, whenever something happens with minority every single being here is a secularist but where is the so called secularism when Hindus are attacked by Rohingyas for no good. In 2017, everyone was silent on Hindu massacre in Myanmar. 92 were killed, 1000s were reported missing, numerous houses were burnt and what not? Where were you?
(In 2019)Shashi Tharoor openly insulted Hindi ,Hindu and Hindutva. He openly defamed Kumbh Mela, Tilak ritual, Janeu ritual. It saddened me to know that he didn’t know about the scientific reason behind Tilak and Janeu.
Why no one came forward when a group of Sikhs and Hindus was bomb blasted in Afghanistan and now CAB hits you hard.
Why only Hindu Festivals are targeted even after reporting that Animal agriculture and killing is the leading cause of Climate Change. Why don’t they have the guts to ban bakra-halali also or Durga Pooja, Ganpati Visarjan, Dahi Handi , Crackers, water balloons don’t take much of them?
This list is never ending. I’m not here for any controversy but the real and weird facts. India is secular but the secularists here are uncanny. The way Bollywood targets Hinduism , if the same way they target other religions they will be shut soon.
I left you with many unanswered questions . I want you not be a part of the soft influencing again which we are already ill of . My dear fellows, go and check the facts. To Love equally, and To hate equally is the real equality. There is a lot more to appreciate about life. Don’t waste your life in controversies. Stand up and speak out against every wrong-doer.
